A couple of years ago my Uncle Herchel and Aunt Alverta passed away. They had no children and thier estate was being auctioned off. I remembered visiting them as a child and wanted to have something that brought back the memories of those visits. I found that I enjoyed the auction and seeing all the things that represented the lives that are now gone or brought back memories of my childhood and thought "I'm sure others would too".
I wanted to try and make someone else's memories live on by making these keepsakes, antiques and collectibles available to a greater number of people. I setup a booth at Yesteryear Antique Center in Hanover, PA and started a small business called Grandma's Forgotten Attic. But I still wanted to reach more people and asked my husband to help setup an online store. While it takes a great deal of time and the money we make sometimes covers our expenses, it is time we spend together making memories of our own.
